Amsterdam: Jan Blaeu, 1654, engraved title and 8 plates, last leaf blank, [STCN 850593093], [and] Aenwysinge der misverstanden van G. Melder, begaen in sijne Instructien van de fortificatien, in welck hy de sustenuen van H. Ruse in't verstercken der hedendaeghsefortificatien, pooght te wederleggen. Amsterdam: Jan Blaeu, 1658, folding engraved plate, [STCN 40046151X], plate worn and repaired

2 volumes bound in one, folio (208 x 200mm.), old vellum, lace case binding, purchased from H.A. Feisenberger, March 1947, £10-10s, dampstaining, small loss to spine ends, rubbed and slightly stained


ii. Bekker van Hervord, Pieter. Nieuwe manier van vestingbou, hoe man alle regulare en irregular vestingen. Amsterdam: Johannes Jansonius van Waesberge, 1673, additional engraved title, 7 engraved plates (some folding) and illustrations in the text, 3 folding tables, errata leaf at end, modern cloth, purchased from H.A. Feisenberger, 21 May 1949, 18s, a few minor marginal tears, engraved title repaired with loss, one plate with marginal loss
