Red Morocco leather, cover boards richly decorated with fillet rolls and gilded stamps, with the coat of arms of Giovanni Battista Pamphili in the center, decorated spine with raised bands, fillets rolls on the board edges, back lining and Augsburg end paper, gilded and chiseled edges (Contemporary Italian binding).

Light foxing. Some leaves slightly cut in the upper margin. Frontispiece slightly cut in the lower margin. Slight binding restorations. 

Second edition of this moral philosophy treaty by Emanuele Tesauro (1592-1677), writer from Turin and member of the Society of Jesus. The book is decorated with an allegoric frontispiece engraved in copper plate by Tasniere.

Beautiful copy with the coat of arms of Giovanni Battista Pamphili (1648-1709), Prince of San Martino and Duke of Carpineto, son of Camillo Pamphili (nephew of Pope Innocent X) and Olimpia Aldobrandini.

[In-12 (130 x 70 mm). Maroquin rouge, plats abondamment ornés de roulettes et fers dorés, armes de Giovanni Battista Pamphili poussées au centre, dos à nerfs orné, roulette sur les coupes, doublure et gardes de papier d’Augsbourg, tranches dorées et ciselées (Reliure italienne de l’époque)

Légères rousseurs, quelques feuillets plus courts en tête, frontispice rogné en pied. Infimes restaurations à la reliure.

Seconde édition de cette philosophie morale d'Emanuele Tesauro (1592-1677), écrivain turinois membre de la compagnie de Jésus. Elle est ornée d'un frontispice allégorique gravé sur cuivre par Tasnière.

Joli exemplaire aux armes de Giovanni Battista Pamphili(1648-1709), prince de San Martino et duc de Carpineto, fils de Camillo Pamphili (neveu du pape Innocent X) et d’Olimpia Aldobrandini.
