comprising a larger pannel and a pair of smaller ones, cartouche-shaped, the sides surmounted with cherubs, each engraved with bishop coat-of-arms, the largest also embossed with St Maurice on his horse on matted ground

These three cartagloriae bear the arms of the house Migliaccio, they were probably made for Don Giuseppe Migliaccio (1650-1729) of the lineage of the Marquis de Montemaggiore and the princes of Baucina, Archbishop of Messina and Knight of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.


Ces trois cartagloria sont aux armes de la maison Migliaccio, elles ont probablement été réalisées pour Don Giuseppe Migliaccio (1650-1729) de la lignée des marquis de Montemaggiore et des princes de Baucina, archevêché de Messine et chevalier de l’ordre de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem.
