in Rococo Revival style, cast with grapevine and shells, the stems formed as Bacchic caryatids supporting detachable tops, the sconces also supported by caryatids

A pair of candelabra of this model by Paul de Lamerie, 1747-8, is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, accession no 58.719.20, gift of George D. Widener and Mrs. Eleanor Widener Dixon, 1958.
