In overall good appearance and condition. Minor flakes of gilding loss to knop of finial. The footrim of the box with a small shallow bruise chip at a chamfered corner, measuring approximately 0.2cm wide.
Sotheby's Scientific Research department used noninvasive XRF for this lot to screen the green enamel for chromium, which was not detected.
