of molded form, each piece painted in Kakiemonstyle with vignettes of birds perched in branches issuing from banded hedges, the covers edged with molded scrolls with finials formed as reclining figures

Condition Report

One stand with five corners restored and the underside sprayed, the other stand broken and restored. 

One cover with figure finial restored, the other with three corners restored. Both butter tubs with handles restored and restoration to two straight sides.
