Scattered nicks, marks, minor stains, and a few patches to veneer, and very slight warping to top consistent with age and use. One section of leather surface with rubbing and losses to tooled gilt decoration, and with old pen and water marks. Central section of one side of the molded edge to the top with waxy residue. One drawer pull slightly loose. Some rubbing to ebonized borders. Useful functional model with fine acanthus carving.
