Overall the condition of the bronzes is good, with minor dirt and some wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some rubbing to the patina at the high points, in particular to the faces. There is particular wear and some black residue to Voltaire's chin and proper left cheek. The staffs of both figures are slightly warped. There are minor chips and abrasions to the edges and corners of the marble bases. There is a minor loss to the bottom right corner of Rousseau's base. There is very minor oxidation to the bronze mounts of the bases.
