6-inch dial with vase and scroll spandrels, mock pendulum and date apertues, the arch with subsidiary regulation and strike/silent dials flanking a shaped plaque signed Willm. Fredk. Strigel, London, the fusee movement with five knopped pillars, verge escapement with rise and fall regulation, trip repeat striking on a bell, the backplate engraved with foliate scrolls and a flower-filled urn, the case with bell top and gilt-brass carrying handle above flambeau finials, floral door mounts and gilt frames to the front door and side panels, on gilt-brass bracket feet 

42cm. 16½in. high

Condition Report

Dial in generally good condition, silvering rubbed. Movement is complete but very much in need of a clean and fresh oil, it appears to retain the original wheelwork throughout, pendulum rod replaced. Case in generally good condition, ebonising rubbed to corners and edges, with two case keys and two winders.
