A VICTORIAN SILVER-PLATED AND CUT-GLASS FIGURAL DESSERT GARNITURE, ELKINGTON & CO., BIRMINGHAM, 1848-49

1 large oval stand with cut-glass bowl, and one extra bowl

2 medium oval stands with cut-glass bowls

6 small circular stands with cut-glass bowls, and one extra bowl

6 wine coasters with wood bases

36 ice cream spoons

62 pieces, all in original fitted wood chest

marked on bases, the wood chest with lock stamped Elkington & Co

Condition Report

One of the medium stands with one bolt not tight so that wood base comes loose easily. The two large glass bowls and two of the small glass bowls with a small chip to rim. All glass with occasional minor nicks to cut edges. The wood chest lacking key, and the central iron strap has had nails removed (still present) so that chest could be opened. The chest also with general wear: splits and minor losses to wood, iron rusted, varnish rubbed, etc.
