one lock stamped J.Moreton & Co. W.Hampton, the other lock stamped Hobbs & Co. London Lever Machine Made; each hinged domed top with gadrooned molded edge opening to a compartment, the trapezoidal body with bead-and-reel-molded apron raised on hairy paw feet

Condition Report

Both with repaired horizontal age splits across the top. One lacking escutcheon and missing piece of reel molding on front proper right side visible in catalogue photograph. The other with one back foot with variation to carving. With scattered marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use.
