AN ENGLISH SLIPWARE BAKING DISH, 18TH CENTURY
trailed with cream-coloured slip on a brown ground below a notched rim
28 cm. diameter
Overall of good honest appearence with no obvious damages and no restoration. The surface glaze to the interior is slightly pitted and worn with minor crazing and staining typical of a utility object. The notched edge is very clean with only a small burst air bubble to the edge which is a manufacturing fault rather than a chip. The underside is a smooth and even finish with typical slight charing to a ring about the centre.
