Condition Report

The plaque painted with Louis Charles Philippe Raphael d'Orleans is signed Cce Turgan above the date 1842. The plaque has been examined out of the frame and is in good order. The plaque has been stuck along the edges of the reverse to the mount with packing tape which has left a residue which could be removed with solvent.

The plaque with Princess Victoria is signed as catalogued but not dated but is contemporary to the dated example. The plaque has been examined out of the frame and there is a band of wear to the enamels just wihtin the rim between about half past 10 and 12 o'clock, this is covered by the frame when the plaque is set into its mount.

Both plaques have been incised to the reverse NR,K,S, and Le/32-4 and both have the painted letter Sf.. in red

The frames are generally in good order
