Bisect Collection Balance 1857-1925


Collection of thirty three covers, two fronts and two bisect stamps on piece, includes questionable uses, stamps not tied, and items that have been declined opinions. Later issues are mostly bisects allowed by Postmasters although not strictly by Post Office rules. The collection includes (covers unless stated) 26 used as 1c, 65 two halves paying 3c, 73a three, two on piece one on front, 85B 3c rate with PFC (1998) stamps genuine, decline as to use, 87b not tied with PFC (1972), 93c, 146a with PFC (1979), 146 pair, one bisected, with PFC (1956), 157 same with PFC (1997), 159, damaged, unofficial use with PFC (1982), 178b with PFC for 178e (1959), 183b three, one with PFC (1972) and 1937 letter from Scott Stamp and Coin, one with 1c (206) and PFC (1979), 210 two, one with PFC (1992), one with two diagonal halves joined to make one, 211 five, one vertical with PSE (2005), four diagonal, two with PFCs (1979 and 1985), 213 three with PFCs, horizontal (1976), diagonal on front (2005), vertical (1995), 4c Columbian 233 diagonal on cover with PFC (2018), 264 on 1c entire (U92), 269 eight, three vertical, five diagonal including three from Wadhams Mills N.Y. bearing two enclosures explaining the circumstances during 1898, one with APS cert (2003), 273, 1923 1c used with normal and charged 1/2c due (J69) completes, some wear, small tears, and reductions to be expected, includes some informational material, generally very fine lot.
