Tied by machine cancel and Harrisburg, PA. June 16, 1898 oval datestamp on envelope to Brooklyn, N.Y., N.Y. receiving handstamps on reverse dated June 16 and 17, Harrisburg Paper Co. Ltd. return address and advert in Cherry Red Ink, small tear at top, a little edgewear at top, and reduced at left otherwise fine. American Philatelic Society certificate (1995) issued but not included.


One of the two known 2c covers dated June 16th 1898 and the only one with a sound stamp. Illustrated in the Neil-Rosenthal book.
