THE FIRST FLIGHT OF A SATURN V LAUNCH VEHICLE. CA NOVEMBER 1967.
Vintage chromogenic print, image taken by Bill Taub, 13 1/2 by 19 1/2 inches; mounted and framed to 18 3/4 by 25 1/8 inches. Minor toning, not examined out of frame.
SIGNED and INSCRIBED by JACK FLETCHER on the mat: "TO BILL TAUB, | WITH MANY THANKS FOR | MUCH HELP WHILE WORKING | ON APOLLO IV."
Apollo 4, which lifted off on 9 November 1967, was the first uncrewed test flight of the Saturn V launch vehicle, the type used by the U.S. Apollo program to send the first astronauts to the Moon.
