Shepard and Mitchell made their lunar landing in the Fra Mauro highlands, which were originally the target site of the aborted Apollo 13 mission. During their two lunar EVAs, Shepard and Mitchell collected 94.35 pounds of Moon rocks, and performed several scientific experiments.
