Description
[APOLLO 12]
COLLECTING LUNAR SOIL SAMPLES. 19-20 NOVEMBER 1969.
Vintage NASA “Black Number” silver gelatin print, 10 by 8 inches, press captions printed in purple to verso. NASA image ID “NASA AS12-49-7278” printed in upper left margin in black.
INSCRIBED and SIGNED by ALAN BEAN: "ALAN BEAN | APOLLO 12"
An incredible photograph of Alan Bean holding a special environmental sample container filled with lunar soil. A Hasselblad camera is mounted on the chest of his spacesuit, and Commander Pete Conrad, who took this image, is clearly reflected in Bean's helmet visor.
