A RARE MEISSEN TEABOWL AND SAUCER AND TWO CHINESE FLUTED SAUCERS CIRCA 1735-40 AND QING DYNASTY, KANGXI PERIOD

flowers painted trailing downwards from the rim, the saucer painted in the center with flowering plants within concentric circles and in the cavetto with a further three flowering plants, the underside with concentric circles, both with trelliswork borders on the interior rims, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, teabowl with incised Dreher's mark incised Dreher's mark // for Johann Gottlieb Geithner (Rückert, 1990, p. 108), saucer with incised Dreher's marks /, a quartered circle, and numeral 2; each Chinese saucer painted in the center with flowering sprigs issuing from a rectangular jardinière with a scholar's rock in the center supported by a recessed leg table, both with incised Japanese Palace inventory numbers N=96-/ ↑.
