A MEISSEN YELLOW-GROUND SMALL MILK JUG AND COVER CIRCA 1730


of quadrilobed form affixed with a scrolling curved handle, reserved on either side with a quadrilobed Kakiemon panel painted with chrysanthemum and beneath the spout with a phoenix bird, the cover with four similar panels of flower sprigs beneath a gilt quadrilobed knop, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue.
