of flattened ovoid form with Frauenkopf masks at the shoulder, painted in Augsburg in the Auffenwerth workshop on either side with Chinoiserie figures, the stepped neck embellished with scrollwork and the lower body with gilt fluted bands, with gilt-metal stopper and chained cover, the mounts contemporary.
There is an 1/8 inch chip to the upper edge of the foot. Slight wear to gilding on the lobed lower body, around the edge of the foot rim and on the rim below the mount. The noses of the female masks are rubbed.
