A MEISSEN LARGE WHITE FIGURE OF A MACAW (ARA ARARUNA/ARA MACAO) 20TH CENTURY
after the 18th century model by Johann Joachim Kändler, modeled perched on a tree stump, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised crossed swords and weiß mark.
Height: 42¾ in.
Good condition. There are three small (1 inch) areas of yellow overpaint, one behind one wing and two high up on the tail. These appear to be either splashes of paint or possibly small firing flaws overpainted by the factory which have now yellowed. The paint could likely be easily removed.
