Description
A MEISSEN IMARI PLATE CIRCA 1735
painted in underglaze-blue, enriched in enamels and gilding with two insects among flowering branches, within concentric circles, the rim with iron-red cell band reserving cartouches of flowering branches, the reverse with two flowering branches, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, III in underglaze-blue, and incised Dreher's mark XII for Johann Christoph Leibnitz to inside edge of footrim (Rückert 1990, p. 117).
