Ornately decorated with carved patriotic and Revolutionary War symbols such as weapons, military accouterments, flags, banners, and an American eagle and serpent, this is one of the most elaborately carved centennial folk art frames known. It was likely created for the 1876 centennial when celebratory events occurred across the nation.
