Original canvas. The work appears in good overall condition. There appears to be a slightly uneven varnish. There are a couple of minor surface abrasions to the extreme upper edge on the right-hand side, and another to the lower half of the left edge.
Under ultraviolet light there appears to be a small area of retouching to the lower half of the left edge.
