The sheet appears to be sound. It is slightly discoloured and there is a minor artist's pinhole in the upper left corner and a minor nick to the centre of the upper edge of the sheet - only visible upon close inspection.
Held under glass in a simple wood frame with a cream mount; unexamined out of frame.

The Cadell family moved to Germany in 1906, staying firstly in Gotha, where the present drawing was made, before moving on to Munich where the family intended to settle. They returned to Edinburgh in 1908 following the death of Cadell's mother in December 1907.
