A silver evening bag, Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow, 1908-1917
of rounded rectangular shape, decorated with a central laurel band, three floral festoons and a lobed lower edge, with a green glass thumbpiece, attached to a silver chain, the interior lined with pale blue silk, struck Khlebnikov in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial warrant, 84 standard, the chain further struck with initials I.Kh. in Cyrillic
length 19cm, 7½in.
Overall in very good condition, with only minor scratches and wear consistent with age. The silk-lined interior with discolouration and a couple of tears.
