village, also set with four cabochon garnets, the sides enamelled with scrolling floral and foliate ornament on a
stippled gilt ground within panels of translucent purple enamel, the interior of the cover enamelled in transparent
lavender over a wavy engine-turned ground, 84 standard
width 15.2cm, 6⅛in.
Overall in very good condition; a few minor areas fluoresce under UV light, suggesting possible professional restoration. The central panel in excellent condition.
