the round painting of a guardian angel covered by glass and set in a star-shaped silver frame, with a twisting border
outlining the six points, chased with stylized flowers and foliage in each point, with pastes in imitation of cabochon
rubies set in the intersections of each point, wooden back, struck K. Fabergé in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial warrant,
length 11.5cm, 4½in.
Overall in good condition, the replaced wooden back scratched. The painting with darkened varnish and craquelure. Please note that the icon has not been inspected out of its frame.
