The edges and corners of the support are fraying with associated minor losses, tears and creases. This is most notable below the signature and in the upper right corner. There is a very fine pattern of craquelure in places, most obviously in the pink pigment of the sitter's hat and in the orange in the upper left. There is a scratch to the surface with associated paint loss below the centre of the right edge. Held behind glass in a floating frame. Unexamined out of frame.
