Condition Report

In overall good condition. The top with very minor scratches and with one horizontal shrinking crack to the left handside (less than 30cm long), with one square shaped loss to veneer probably as a result of the crack. Some losses to the edge of the top (left back side, front left corner, front right corner, middle of right side, right back side), this edge with craquelure throughout. Some small veneer losses to left handside and right handside of drawers, as well as in between the drawers. One small veneer loss to the left corner of the apron. The left side with minor age craquelure and one very small veneer loss to bottom right, as well as a small age crack to bottom left. The right side with one horizontal age crack. The right front foot with a loose sabot, which would benefit from being securely re-attached. Evidence of an old woodworm activity which no longer appears to be active. The gilt-bronze, possibly re-gilt, in overall good condition, with very minor rubbing and tarnishing, consistent with age and use. A charming piece with age. Stamped FG JME three times to rear upright on right handside of carcass.
