The Meyers Manx built by Bruce Meyers, beginning in the mid-1960s, originated the “dune” or “beach” buggy craze of the decade. From the lightweight, roofless fiberglass bodywork to the rear-mounted engine and large wheels and tires, dune buggies were extraordinary recreational vehicles, ideally suited for sand dunes, beaches, remote desert driving or simply on the street.
