Condition Report

This rich, highly-detailed albumen print is in generally very good to excellent condition. Grading this albumen print on a scale of 1 to 10 - a 10 being a print that has very rich, deep dark tones and highlights that retain all their original detail - this print rates a strong 8. The dark tones are a lovely deep eggplant purple. The highlights remain bright and creamy with no yellowing. There is faint edge-fading along the left edge and slightly more significant edge-fading along the right lower edge. The surface is generally very clean. In high raking light, tiny scattered spots (possibly original retouching or foxing) are barely perceptible in the central portion of the image; this is all but impossible to discern given the densely detailed foliage in the image.

There is a slight wave to the stiff mount. The edges are age-darkened. There are three small tears to the mount along the left edge and a long abrasion along the lower edge. The mount corners are rounded and there is a small loss to the tip of the upper left mount corner.

In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
