W. EUGENE SMITH
'DEATH OF GUS-GUS'
mounted, signed and titled in pencil on the mount, 1953 (Aperture, unpaginated)
7¾ by 10 in. (19.7 by 25.4 cm.)
This photograph is in generally very good to excellent condition. Upon close inspection in raking light, several small scratches, scuffs, and tiny soft and sharp impressions are visible in the lower portion of the image. A 1/2-inch vertical scratch along the left edge appears to break the emulsion.
There is very minor soiling on the reverse of the mount.
When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
