WATER STREET, PORTLAND
with 'M. W.' in pencil on the reverse, 1940 (cf. The Eye That Shapes, pl. 63)
10½ by 13¼ in. (26.7 by 33.7 cm.)
This photograph, on double-weight paper with a faint surface sheen and slight eggshell texture, is in generally excellent condition. The upper right corner is softly creased. There is very minor rubbing along the margin edges.
While the overall tonality of this print is rich and warm, the highlights are less yellow in person than in the catalogue illustration.
