ROUTE 9W (GOD BLESS AMERICA)
the photographer's '44 South Mountain Rd., New City, New York' studio, copyright/reproduction rights, and print date stamps on the reverse, 1959, printed in the 1960s
7 by 10½ in. (17.8 by 26.7 cm.)
This photograph, on double-weight paper with a slight surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. When examined closely in raking light, the following are visible: 2 soft and one sharp crease in the left portion; very minor silvering in the darkest areas; a tiny matte deposit in the lower right quadrant; and a few pinpoint-sized impressions near the lower center.
The left and right edges are very slightly curled. There is a crease in the lower right margin and some very minor wear to the margin corners. In the margins there are 2 small rectangular areas of stray exposure.
On the reverse are a few faint fingerprints. The photographer's print date stamp reads 'Printed 1960's.'
The colors in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is lighter and less yellow in person.
