platinum-palladium print, flush-mounted to aluminum, signed, titled, dated, editioned '8/40,' and annotated in pencil and stamped on the reverse, framed, 1971, printed in 1977
21⅛ by 17⅛ in. (54.2 by 44 cm.)
This platinum-palladium print is in generally excellent condition. There is occasional faint soiling in the margins, most notably along the upper center margin edge. There is a rust colored deposit in the lower left margin corner. On the reverse of the mount are several linen tape remnants and attendant abrasions along the edges, as well as minor soiling and fingerprints. The annotations in pencil are: 'BC,' '25' [circled], 'BF 360 on Aluminum / Multiple coating and printing / 1 Platinum / 2 Platinum-palladium / Print made January 1977.' The stamps read 'Hand-coated by the photographer' and 'Deacidified.'
The edition stamp on the reverse indicates that in addition to the 40 numbered prints in platinum, there may also exist no more than 15 unnumbered, but signed, gelatin silver prints.
