This stunning work is the only known vintage print of this image in this large size. The image was probably taken during a shoot for Elizabeth Arden, circa 1950. This image reveals Erwin Blumenfeld's deep fascination for the Dutch painter Rogier van de Weyden (1399 - 1464). There exists a very different variant of the image that depicts the model in a more posed manner, typical of the 1950s.
