The two young artists Christto Sanz (Christian Manuel Sánchez Díaz, 1985) and Andrew Weir (Andrew Jay Weir, 1987) live and work between Doha and Copenhagen. They were selected among the 10 talents of the New Discovery Award 2018 at the Rencontres de la Photographie in Arles. 

This emblematic image of their work has been widely distributed in the press through their recent exhibitions and collaborations with Foam in Amsterdam and the Paris Photo Fair. Inspired by the visual references of fashion, advertising and art, they create a vision of a fresh and intriguing contemporary universe not without humour and sarcasm. This is the first time their work is coming up at auction.
