THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE/LE FACTEUR SONNE TOUJOURS DEUX FOIS (1946) POSTER, BELGIAN

Unframed: 56 x 36 cm (22 x 14 in.)

Framed: 71 x 52.5 cm (28 x 20¾ in.)

This American film noir is based on the James M. Cain novel of the same name. The film was directed by Tay Garnett, and stars Lana Turner and John Garfield. The film was re-made in 1981 with Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange. The artwork on this Belgian poster has an energy about it that the American poster campaign lacks.
