Directed by Don Siegel and starring Clint Eastwood, this film is about a prison break from the most notorious American prison - Alcatraz. Paramount Pictures would have commissioned a few artists to put forward their design ideas for the film poster advertising campaign. Victor Gadino was one of these artists. Birney Lettick's design was chosen.

This artwork was part of the collection of David Frangioni, author of Clint Eastwood Icon.
