THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) POSTER, US
Artist: Roger Kastel
Unframed: 102 x 76 cm (40 x 30 in.)
This is the second film in the original Star Wars trilogy, which is now also known as Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. Although George Lucas did not direct this film, he wrote the story and served as executive producer. This style A (Gone with the Wind style) was produced as the main US poster, and it was also used on this rarer size, 40 x 30 in. poster printed on heavier stock and unfolded. These were used in special displays and drive-in cinemas. This poster is 3 inches wider and an inch shorter than the standard American poster. The information on the bottom of the poster looks like it is missing, but this is only because they used the same printing blocks as the standard poster, and the information could not fit on the bottom of this smaller poster.

Unfolded. Excellent condition with the colours remaining very bright. There are some small creases in the edge of the white borders, and a couple of kinks in the background of the poster, which does not affect the main artwork.
