The director Henri Clouzot competed with Alfred Hitchcock for the rights to this film. The plot, a murder conspiracy that spirals out of control, was irresistible to both of them. The French graphic artist and designer Raymond Gid is highly respected in the world of graphic design. His career spanned five decades, and he was responsible for designing book covers, advertising posters and a number of film posters. His poster for Les Diaboliques is one of his most celebrated designs, with its use of multi-media effects.

Linen-backed. Excellent condition with the colours remaining very bright. Minor restoration to folds and a couple of surface abrasions. There is some natural discolouration on the centre fold.
