Description

YELLOW SUBMARINE (1968) POSTER, ITALIAN

First Italian release 1969

Designed by L. Sostegni

Unframed: 68 x 47 cm (26¾ x 18½in.)

This animated musical fantasy was inspired by the song Yellow Submarineby John Lennon and Paul McCartney. The animation features songs by the Beatles. The Beatles appear as animated characters in the film, being voiced by other actors until the final scene, when their real voices are used. The designer, L. Sostegni, has certainly created great caricatures for the Fab Four. There is a stamp on the poster to show that tax was paid when displaying the poster in Italy.
