Unframed: 99 x 69 cm (39 x 27 in.)

This musical was directed by Cecil Lewis and stars Marguerite Namara, and is an adaptation of the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet. It is also known by the title Gipsy Blood. The striking artwork on this stylish Swedish poster captures the Spanish theme and the gypsy Carmen. For over thirty years this poster was in a private Swedish collection, and was originally obtained direct from the printer; as a result it is unfolded. This poster has only surfaced a few times.

Condition Report

Linen-backed and unfolded. Excellent condition with the colours remaining very bright. Minor restoration to lower right border and small tear in the top border, which does not affect the main artwork. There is some black surface marking under the left side of the title. This is from when the poster was originally printed.
