Broken Blossoms celebrates its 100 year anniversary this year. This silent film was directed by D.W. Griffith, one of 20th century's pioneers of cinema, and one of the founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The film stars Lillian Gish, who plays a young girl who has been abused by her alcoholic boxer father, and is befriended by a thoughtful Chinese immigrant with a catastrophic outcome. Very little ever surfaces on any D.W. Griffith films from this period. Exceptionally rare, and has surfaced only a few times.

Linen-backed.  Excellent condition with the colours remaining very bright. Very minor restoration to folds, and minor small tears on the edges, which do not affect the main artwork.
