Description

WHITE HEAT/LA FURIA UMANA (1949) POSTER, ITALIAN

Artist: Luigi Martinati (1893-1984)

Unframed: 201 x 140 cm (79 x 55 in.)

This film was directed by Raoul Walsh, and stars James Cagney, Virginia Mayo and Edmond O'Brien. Cagney was synonymous with gangster roles as he had played these parts since Public Enemy in 1931. He gives a great portrayal as the gangster 'Cody' Jarrett, with his memorable line 'made it Ma, top of the world!'.

Luigi Martinati has captured the fiery' Cody' Jarrett (James Cagney) in this classic gangster film. This poster was printed in two sheets and designed to be pasted onto billboards, therefore only unused copies survived, and very few of these are known.
