The case is in very good overall condition with light scratching visible throughout, and in our view, has likely never been polished. The lyra lugs retain their sharp beveled edges. The bezel has some light surface scuffing and very minor loss to the black paint. The caseback has some minor scratching, and still retains the Speedmaster 'Seahorse' logo.
The dial is in very good overall condition, and the luminous hour markers have aged to an attractive shade of beige. There is some minor loss to the luminous hour markers from age.
The chronograph function is operating properly, and dustcap is still present. The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
