Condition Report

The canvases are relined, the paint surfaces are slightly dirty, and the varnishes are fairly clear and even.

The former: small discoloured retouchings are visible scattered in the background foliage upper left. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms these and reveals sensitively executed strengthening in some of the leaves and around the silhouettes of the blooms, as well as in some of the grapes, and darker parts of the melon in the foreground.

The latter: inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some old retouching upper left, as well as some strengthening in the plums, grapes and their stalked in the foreground.

Both paintings are in good overall condition and offered in carved and gesso gilt wood frames with minor losses.
