The canvas is lined, the paint surface is clean, and the varnish is clear. Faint stretcher marks are just visible along all four margins. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a thick varnish underneath which some retouchings are visible, most notably: small spots scattered in the sky, wash retouching in the sky upper left, scattered in the lower left corner, along the central section of the right margin, and to a repaired diagonal tear centre right approx. 9cm. In overall good condition. Offered in a carved and gesso gilt wood frame with a few losses.
